New map to make people ‘see Bristol differently’
Social enterprise Urban Good are crowdfunding to create a new map for Bristol.
The community interest company say their map, the Bristol Urban Nature Map, will show “how Bristol’s green spaces, walkways, cycleways and waterways connect through all the neighbourhoods and out to the surrounding landscapes”.
Urban Good have been working on this map since January and aim to publish it in January 2026.
When published, the Bristol Urban Nature Map will be the third in their Urban Nature Maps series which has seen maps created for three major UK cities.

Those who pledge money to the project will receive at least one map
Urban Good say their Urban Nature Maps “help people see their city differently, not just as streets and buildings, but as places full of nearby nature and active journeys for everyday living”.
The Crowdfunder, which will close towards the end of September, aims to raise £7500.
The money will go towards printing costs, community workshops and large-format maps.
Urban Good have also said that for each pledge, they will donate a free copy of a Bristol Urban Nature Map to a local school geography department.
