Bill Murray gets tattoo of Bristol man
A Ghostbusters fan from Kingswood who shared his tattoos live on US television had a big surprise:
Known since then only as “Mike from Bristol” to those who have watched Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, Bristol24/7 can exclusively reveal his identity to be Mike Parker from Kingswood.
is needed now More than ever
The 44-year-old prop master for television and films has three tattoos of the original Ghostbusters cast and one of Janine the secretary, all inked by Chris Jones of Physical Graffiti in Cardiff.
Jones was contacted by Kimmel’s researchers and told them about Parker, who was then asked to be online from 11pm on the day of filming and rehearse until they recorded the live show.
“Because they were shooting an NBA special it went on a bit,” Parker told Bristol24/7. “It finished at 3.40am on Wednesday but it was more than worth it.
“I had no idea at all they would definitely get to me, we were told if they didn’t just to show your tattoos on the ‘Wall of America’ when Jimmy was wrapping up.
“I certainly had no idea that Bill Murray and Annie Potts would have tattoos of me! It’s been bonkers since with lots of social media hi jinks and lots of people mentioning #mikefrombristol
“People are even talking of getting a Mike tattoo. I may get one myself!”
