Maya Jama confirmed for Celebrity Traitors season 2

By Molly Pipe  Saturday May 2, 2026

A Bristol-raised TV presenter has been confirmed for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors.

Maya Jama is the current host of Love Island and a regular panelist on The Masked Singer, as well as having had her own show on Radio 1.

Jama was born in St Paul’s and was raised by her mother and aunts.

She later moved to Cotham and Redland, attending Cotham School from 2005 to 2011.

Shortly after leaving Cotham, Jama left Bristol to pursue a career in the performing arts, finding success at ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

She dated rapper Stormzy on and off for years, before the couple said they were ending things for good in 2024.

In 2018 she joined Radio 1, hosting the Saturday Greatest Hits show and co-hosting a show with Scott Mills and Chris Stark.

Her contract there eventually came to an end but in 2022 she was named as the new host of ITV’s Love Island, which she has fronted ever since.
