Eagle-eyed viewers spot intriguing Bristol reference in Ted Lasso season 4 trailer
The trailer for the fourth season of Ted Lasso has been watched more than one million times just 24 hours after being released on YouTube.
And eagle-eyed viewers have noticed something intriguing.
Look closely and for a couple of seconds, the Bristol City logo is visible behind Ted Lasso, who in the upcoming series has become manager of a women’s football team.
A Bristol City spokesperson remained tight-lipped when contacted by Bristol24/7 but it appears that Ashton Gate Stadium was used as a filming location for the upcoming series of the Emmy-winning Apple TV drama.
Series four of Ted Lasso will start on Apple TV on August 5, with new episodes released every Wednesday until October 7.
An Apple TV press release said: “Season four marks the return of fan favourites, including Emmy Award winner Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, alongside new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
“In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.
“Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”
