Listen to the first episode of That Bristol24/7 Podcast
Bristol24/7 now has its own podcast, where we will be sharing some of the best stories from our monthly print magazine and website.
In the inaugural episode, we spoke to our Woman of the Year, Natalie Fee, about waste, royal weddings and the word of the year. Natalie founded environmental organisation City to Sea in 2015 after being appalled by the amount of plastic waste being washed out into the Bristol Channel, and this year saw her Refill campaign gain traction, with cafe giants Costa and Starbucks getting on board and even Theresa May snapped at a Refill point.
We also sat around the table with the most recent cohort of young people on our How To Be A Chef programme, run with Square Food Foundation. The team talked about the skills they had learned over the 12-week course, their plans for the future and how it feels to gain a qualification for the future.
And, as it’s nearly Christmas, we spoke to Bristolians about how they will be spending the big day, and – most importantly – what they will be eating.
