Eastville Park to host Love Saves the Day

By Martin Booth  Monday Jan 19, 2015

Eastville Park will be hosting Love Saves the Day this summer.

The two-day festival has been held in Castle Park since 2012 but last year’s bad weather meant that the site was left as a mud bath, with organisers paying to returf the grass.

Love Saves the Day director Tom Paine said: “We’ve had a fantastic three years at Castle Park. Since we started in 2012, Love Saves The Day has grown in numbers, scale and ambition every year and we want to continue developing the event into the future.

“We want to add new venues and develop the non-musical elements of the festival, and whilst this requires a larger space, our emphasis is very much on making the event better, in every single way, instead of just bigger.

“We have a robust plan in place to minimise our impact on the park and the residents of Eastville. Some of us live in the surrounding areas, so we have a vested interest in keeping the park beautiful and the neighbours happy.”

Subject to the festival receiving its event license, Love Saves the Day will take place in Eastville Park over the weekend of May 23 and 24.
