E-scooter rider dies after Coronation Road crash

The e-scooter rider who was hospitalised after a serious crash has died in hospital.

The 56-year-old from Southville was riding the e-scooter on the cycle path on Coronation Road away from the direction of the Asda car park.

The collision happened at about 3.20pm on Friday just after Gaol Ferry Bridge

The man was helped by passers-by and staff from the nearby Bridge View Medical surgery before paramedics arrived but he later died in hospital.

Following his death, police have now renewed their appeal for witnesses and any dashcam footage.
