Post office to return to busy shopping street
A post office will be returning to North Street almost three years after one closed.
It will be returning to the same site on the same road having previously been part of the McColl’s which closed in 2023.
The post office is reopening in October within what is now Sky International Supermarket.
“Great news” says a sign in the window of Sky International Supermarket announcing the return of North Street Post Office from 1pm on October 3.
Its opening hours will be 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday and 9pm to 6pm on Sundays.
Currently, the nearest post offices to North Street are on Bedminster Parade and Bedminster Road.
There was a post office in McColl’s which traded on the site until January 2023 but was closed by owners Morrisons who said it was “loss-making” and had “no realistic prospect” of recovering soon.
