Dozens of firefighters tackle blaze at scrap metal yard
Flames could be seen from across Bristol as a fire took hold at a scrap metal yard.
Forty firefighters tackled the blaze at a scrap merchant off Deep Pit Road in Speedwell and helped stop it spreading to nearby buildings.
The fire broke out at around 11pm on Sunday evening.

Explosions were also heard at the fire which was attended to by eight fire engines.
BBC News reported that a security guard from a nearby office called the scene “really dramatic” with the large flames a “sight to behold”.
