Appeal after sexual assault on man in his 60s

By Bristol24/7  Tuesday Sep 8, 2015

A 63-year-old man was sexually assaulted by a younger man he met in a waterfront bar in Bristol.

Police have released CCTV images of a man and woman they want to speak to in connection with the “serious” assault at a Bedminster home on Tuesday, September 1.

Police said the victim, who was left “traumatised”, began talking to a man and a woman in the Bristol Sports Bar in the evening.

He left the bar with the man at about 10pm and they got a taxi to an unknown property in Bedminster.

The sexual assault was reported to police by the victim the following morning.

Detective sergeant Dave Lewis said: “The victim was left traumatised by this incident and he was taken to The Bridge Sexual Assault Referral Centre to receive medical care and emotional support.

“We’ve reviewed CCTV as part of our inquiry and have released images of a man we’d like to speak to. We’ve also released a CCTV still of a woman we believe may have vital information for us.

“Do you know the man in the CCTV images? Were you in the BSB bar last Tuesday between 4pm and 10pm?

“If you can help, please call the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101 and quote reference 96710/15.”
