Alma Tavern & Theatre
A recently refurbished pub with its own ‘black box’ 48-seater theatre upstairs, staging an ambitious variety of classics, comedies, absurdist and modern productions. In action since 1997, the theatre has hosted several world premiers, and remains committed to championing new writing from the Bristol Theatre Scene. There’s also an art space downstairs, and weekly live music sessions happen Sunday nights, after Sunday lunch accompanied by the sophisticated tinkling of Jazz pianists. Nice.
