Wahaca open date pushed back

By Rachel Morris  Friday Jul 3, 2015

When Mexican restaurant Wahaca began works on a Bristol branch – the second outside London – the people rejoiced.

But as we reported last month, building work on the new site on Queens Road nearly came to a stop when seagulls kept attacking and defecating on builders.

A falconer was brought in to temporarily scare off the attacking seagulls and everything seemed to be back on course, but now Wahaca have confirmed that they’ve been forced to push back their opening date from July 23, to July 30.

A spokesperson for Wahaca says: “As far as opening issues go, seagulls were one we didn’t account for… We are sorry to delay taco gratification for a week, but increasingly excited to open our Bristol doors on the later date of the July 30.”
