Thai restaurant to open third site
After serving Thai dishes from two sites in Bristol, Mangosteen is now preparing to open their biggest restaurant ever on Gloucester Road.
The first Mangosteen originally opened on Cotham Hill in 2023, expanding to a second site on North Street in 2024.
Founded by Kedar Subedi and the team behind RockSalt, also on Cotham Hill, the restaurant will replace what was most recently Saab Indian Dining.

Operations Manager, Loki Stokes, sees the “colourful, busy and lively” Gloucester Road as a “good match” for their restaurant.
He added: “There is a lot of foot traffic, and we always look to seat walk-ins and big groups, and having a bigger site is going to allow us to bring the Mangosteen experience to more people who might not have visited our other two sites before.
“Some of our favourite restaurants as a team are on Gloucester Road, and some of our favourite late-night spots are on the street.
“We are excited for the after-work nights out, and to open up in a beautiful part of Bristol, a part of Bristol which is home for many of our staff and customers.”
From soups and stir-frys to traditional curries and noodles, the Thai tapas restaurant has diverse options to choose from on its menu.
Mangosteen opens at 187 Gloucester Road on September 2.
