New East African cafe opens

Bristol can now savour delights from Africa’s eastern heartlands at a newly opened cafe.

Basma Cafe on Cheltenham Road promises “authentic East African” dishes with both sweet and savoury options up for grabs.

Sandwiched between the Latin American cafe Morales and the newly opened Mickey Zoggs premises, Basma will be another addition to the already bustling neighbourhood.

The new cafe has opened in what was previously vintage clothing store, Fabulous Vintage.

Fabulous Vintage opened in 2018 and was run by Safiya Elmi, who previously had a stall at the vintage market in Stokes Croft.
