New cafe built almost entirely out of recycled and reclaimed materials

By Martin Booth  Sunday Sep 7, 2025

A new cafe just off Gloucester Road has been almost completely built from recycled and reclaimed materials over the past year.

Now open within the Old Drumbank Studios on Sommerville Road, the cafe serves coffee from Radical Roasters in Easton as well as a selection of locally-sourced herbal teas, soft drinks, cakes and snacks.

The cafe is set to be joined in early October by Hot Wax, a shop selling vinyl, prints and clothing.

Located within a former music shop, the Old Drumbank Studios was set up in 2021 as a co-working hub.

The new cafe is open from Thursday to Sunday, 8.30am to 3.30am.
