Mickey Zoggs to reopen in new home
Mickey Zoggs 2.0 promises to be “revamped, re-energised and better than ever”.
Following a number of delays, the music community hub is due to reopen on May 23 in the former Cloak on Cheltenham Road
“Mickey Zoggs rises from the ashes new and improved with a bigger space, extended hours and a wider selection of drinks,” say the team.
The Noods Radio studio is set to open on the ground floor of the bar in June, “bringing back the station’s beloved residents and genre-bending sounds”.
It will be a continuation of the partnership that began in Mickey Zogg’s original home on Surrey Street in St Paul’s.
A crowdfunder in 2024 raised more than £75,166 to purchase what used to be the Surrey Vaults pub.
That deal fell through but the Zoggs team then found their new home and have been able to use the money “to create something even more promising”.

Mickey Zoggs co-owner Leon Pattrick said that “losing the old place was tough”.
He said: “There were plenty of tears shed, especially after how hard everyone had fought for it.
“But in the same week that we found out it was no longer going ahead, we got a call about somewhere else and it felt like the stars had just aligned.
“The past five months have been a lot of work with plenty of ups and downs, but we’re really excited to share what we’ve done so far and what we’ve got planned with the new space!”
