Fuego fires up 40 Alfred Place
A new restaurant has launched this week as a pop-up in Kingsdown before opening permanently on the centre next month.
From February, Fuego will occupy the building on Broad Quay most recently occupied by My Burrito. Until then, you can get a taste of the Latin American-inspired dishes at 40 Alfred Place.
This week is ‘Maya Madness’, with nibbles such as plantain crisps, starters of smoked ox cheek croquettes, a steak burrito as the main, and a warm chocolate chilli brownie and ice cream for dessert.
Next week sees ‘Cook Revolution’ with promised influences from Miami, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
On each table, there are bottles of Fuego’s own hot sauces made especially for them by the Upton Cheyney Chilli Company.
A small drinks selection includes bottles of Pacifico lager from Mexico, and Orchard Pig Reveller cider and Bath Ales Wild Hare from closer to home.
