First headliners announced for Forwards Festival 2024

By Issy Packer  Thursday Feb 29, 2024

Organisers of Forwards Festival have announced the first wave of acts expected at this year’s event.

Returning to the Downs on August 31 for two days of live music and panel talks, the festival will see London musician Loyle Carner take to the stage on the Saturday night for what will be his biggest show to date in the city.

American band LCD Soundsystem will headline on the Sunday evening for their first performance in Bristol in 14 years, as part of the band’s 2024 global tour.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!

Joining Loyle Carner on Saturday’s lineup includes Four Tet, Maribou State, Floating Points, Romy, Greentea Peng, Yussef Dayes, Nubya Garcia, Hak Baker, Mrcy and Jersey.

Jessie Ware, Yard Act, Baxter Dury, CMAT, Crazy P, Holysseus Fly and Da Fuchaman & The Fireblaze band are featured on Sunday’s lineup.

More artists are yet to be announced.

Tom Paine, co-founder of Team Love, said: “Forwards is back for its third year, and we couldn’t be prouder. Each year it grows, evolves and delivers even more for the city of Bristol and beyond.

“From an international and genre-spanning music lineup to future thinking talks, initiatives and with a growing-in-popularity kids area, Forwards is the perfect day out for everyone.”
