Crumplehorn Theatre bring ‘The Necromancer!’ to The Wardrobe Theatre
Crumplehorn Theatre are a Bristol-based theatre company led by award-winning playwright, performer and producer Claire Rammelkamp and actor, writer and composer Harry Creffield.
Together, their goal is to reframe trauma through a comic lens in a bid to “make the uncomfortable comfortable”.
Fresh from a successful Edinburgh Fringe run of Creffield’s solo mental health-themed show I’m Actually Fine!, the pair are back in the south west this autumn with their new musical comedy production, The Necromancer!.
Described as “a spooky, irreverent, Medieval-ish musical comedy”, the show tackles themes ranging from grief and friendship to zombies.
When Myrtle’s mum is drowned as a witch for being suspiciously good-looking, she enlists the help of a magical cave-dwelling weirdo, THE NECROMANCER, to bring her back to life. But raising the dead is a lot harder (and more musical!) than she anticipates.
Following a run of three shows at The Wardrobe Theatre from September 30, The Necromancer! will move to Weston-super-Mare’s Front Room Theatre.
