Bite-sized shows at Fun on the Run

By Alison Maney  Wednesday Mar 16, 2016

A treat for those of us with short attention spans, Bedminster’s Fun on the Run will feature 10-minute performances from 30 musicians, comics, poets, actors and magicians.

It’s a multi-genre mash-up of last year’s Comedians on the Run and Musicians on the Run, also hosted in Bedminster.

Don’t expect to see every production featured in this whirlwind variety show – the event spreads the performances across 14 different Bedminster locations over the course of a tight two hours between 7pm and 9 pm on Thursday, March 17.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

Luckily, the super-mini festival plopped its stages into some of the best venues in Bedminster, with the Steam Crane, the Spotted Cow, Tobacco Factory Café Bar, Windmill Hill City Farm and ten more locations hosting the various acts.

Attendees will vote for their favourite performance and the most popular act will take home a £250 cash prize. Need an incentive to participate? In a lottery give away, one voter will win a cool £100.

Notable acts include Comedians on the Run winner Louis Burgess, the Bard of Windmill Hill, acoustic solo musician Sam Evans and ‘agricultural hip-hop’ West Country rapper Corky, among others.
