Special one-off concert to commemorate WWI

By Laura Williams  Monday Oct 20, 2014

The Bristol Catholic Players perform Till The Boys Come Home this month, an original production commemorating the centenary of the First World War.

The dramatised concerts have been arranged, written and produced by members of the players and feature a range of music; Music Hall to English Folk Music, West End Classics and a sprinkling of Gilbert & Sullivan (which is what the music the company is most well known for). There will also be poetry from the era, culminating in an uplifting audience sing along.

Producer, Sara Marsh, said “It’s been a challenge to create a show that is a little different from others, so we have blended storytelling with a selection of music that is both well known and which tells a tale about this most amazing period of our country’s history”
