Review: Love Saves the Day, Sunday
A glittery gathering of the most fashionable ravers descended in their thousands to the Love Saves the Day weekender.
Castle Park’s transformation was an explosion of mud, debauchery, base and beats with the odd unicorn thrown in for good measure.
Only its third year, Love Saves the Day has already become one of Bristol’s most popular summertime events, with the more debauched and wetter Saturday selling out months in advance.
Sunday was a slightly more relaxed affair, with the crowds swaying in the late afternoon sunshine to the likes of Clean Bandit, Alfresco Disco, Mike Skinner and Ms Dynamite.
Musically, this festival stands alongside the big guns, collaborating with some of the UK’s slickest DJs and the crowds certainly seemed to be enjoying the line-ups across the festival.
With a dedicated children’s area, decent food stalls, a cocktail caravan serving up shimmery drinks and plenty of spaces to chill, this city centre festival is fast becoming a staple in Bristol’s packed events calendar.
Let’s just cross our fingers for no rain next year.
