Hear ‘Entropy’, the new EP from Vena Cava
When Bristol24/7 programmed the main stage at Brisfest 2016, Vena Cava were an obvious choice to play. They didn’t let us down.
The noise-rock trio blazed their way into gig-goers affections four years ago with a sound that paired tempestuous riffs with the heady incantations of singer-guitarist Christelle Atenstaedt.
Four-track EP Entropy is the band’s first release since their 2015 debut album, and it’s their most impressive so far.
Psychedelic rockers in the broadest sense, Vena Cava’s rambling song structures slide deliciously between crystalline melody, Saharan drones and intense, grunge-inspired heaviness.
The second release on Bristol’s Noctone label, which we profiled here, Entropy is officially launched at Exchange on June 8 with support from Agathe Max.
You can buy it online now direct from the label, or from iTunes if you insist.
