One of the highlights – arguably the highlight – of our involvement in this year’s Brisfest Soundscape was a stage-shredding performance by Bristol hip-hop collective The Scribes. We’ve got a new interview with them coming soon, but in the meantime here’s something new to wrap your ears around.
Scribes frontman Ill Literate has collaborated with producer Kristian Sharpe for new project A Band On Hope (arf), whose eponymous debut album is released on September 15.
The 13-track collection fires through a whole host of genres, including electro, hip hop, jazz, blues, funk, and rock. Bristol 24/7 are giving you the chance to have the first listen this weekend below.
