DepicT! call for entries
The Watershed’s annual ultra-short film competition, DepicT!, is now open for entries. And if the glory of winning is an insufficient lure, you may wish to know that there’s more than £2,500 in prize money up for grabs, along with heaps of other goodies and benefits. Permit Watershed film supremo Mark Cosgrove to explain all:
Here are those rules in full: make a short film that runs for less than 90 seconds and submit it online here. That’s it. The competition is open to all and your entry can be in any genre – animation, documentary, drama, experimental, whatever. Actually, there are a few more tiddly rules buried in the small print, which you’ll find here. And if you want to check out the calibre of the likely competition, all 20 of last year’s shortlisted films can be viewed here.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Mon 6 July 2015. Shortlisted entries will be announced on 1 September, with the winner revealed on 15 September. DepicT! is part of Bristol’s annual Encounters short film and animation festival, which runs from 15-20 September this year.
