Check out the new Encounters trailer
The Encounters film festival has just released a snazzy new trailer featuring live-action and animated highlights from this year’s six-day fest interspersed with footage of Bristol graffiti artist Andy Council whacking the festival artwork on to a wall.
Encounters runs at the Watershed from September 15-20. Highlights include the Fun Lovin’ Criminals’ Huey Morgan talking about his favourite film soundtracks of all time; a Petite Perpetual Cinema showing children’s short films, curated by children themselves (free admission all day Sat from 10am); the local premiere of psychological horror Dartmoor Killing with a director Q&A; the debut of a new short by Bristol-based Roger Rabbit animator Richard Williams; ex-Python Terry Jones introducing his new feature documentary about the financial crisis, Boom Bust Boom; and an event with acclaimed Swiss Filmmaker Ursula Meir and her Bristol-based musical partner John Parish. All this plus hundreds of the very best short films, many screened in themed collections. Go here for our full preview.
