A behind-the-scenes nose around the the blockbuster exhibition exploring how Alice became an icon
As Bond continues to swallow up nearly every cinema screen in town, this week’s only major new release targets the neglected kiddie market: The Addams Family 2. If you crave variety, the Watershed has queer/trans doc Pier Kids and upmarket cancer weepie My Little Sister.
Also at the Watershed are a bunch of high-profile previews from this year’s London Film Festvial, including the new films from Edgar Wright and Wes Anderson.
This week’s reissues are led by the 25th anniversary return of Wes Craven’s Scream, while event cinema picks include the film of the V&A’s Alice exhibition and the return of live opera in the form of the Met’s Boris Gudonov.
