The Green Knight

Director
David Lowery
Certificate

Running Time
130 mins

A Ghost Story director David Lowery‘s long-delayed retelling of the 14th century tale Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is a lavish mediaeval fantasy starring Dev Patel as King Arthur’s reckless nephew, who embarks on an eventful quest to track down the mysterious green knight (Ralph Ineson).

US critics were pretty much unanimous in their praise for everything from the superb cinematography to Patel’s performance. USA Today descibed the film as “a visually dazzling and thoughtful trip back to Camelot”, remarking that in “a career-best performance, Dev Patel shines in a sumptuous, dark fantasy about honor, consequence and mortality.”
