2019’s CGI Addams Family animation was a huge box office hit despite mediocre reviews, so the fact that this sequel has had even worse reviews is unlikely to harm its commercial prospects.
The lazy fish-out-of-water plot has the adult Addamses addressing the fact that the children are growing up by taking them on a family bonding vacation. Long-suffering parents and those who should probably get out more may observe that this is pretty much the same storyline as Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
