Turbo Island stars in new calendar
There are photos of fires, parties and police.
It could only be Turbo Island, which is the star of a new calendar produced by the artist named after Bristol’s most infamous patch of concrete.
Although the land on the corner of Stokes Croft and Jamaica Street is still covered in grass in some of the photographs from over the last 15 years.

The Turbo Island 2026 calendar has been made by artist Turbo Island, whose studio overlooks the patch of land
Turbo Island, the artist also known as Christopher Wright, said: “All of these photos were taken from my studio window between 2010 and 2025 with various iPhones.
“Some people on Instagram suggested they’d make a great calendar. I’m not so sure.”

Photos in the calendar were taken between 2010 and 2025
The calendar comes in A5 size and is wire bound with thick recycled paper, “perfect for writing on” says Turbo Island.
“Keeping some photos under wraps to ensure you buy one,” he added.

There is still beauty on Turbo Island
