Scientific studies have shown that art in the workplace boosts productivity and success, with one Avonmouth company now feeling the positive affects of a huge mural painted onto the side of their warehouse.
“The area has always been very industrial – all buildings from the same hue of green, brown, and blues,” says Joe Marshall-Rush from DrinksWorks, who have been based in Avonmouth since 1976 and supply drinks and dispensing equipment across the South West and Wales.
“We wanted to have a home that was more reflective of our business: lively, outgoing, and representative of our values.”
The company commissioned a Brazilian street artist to paint the colourful piece. Ananda Nahu’s murals have been seen around the world, including in New York and Rio De Janeiro.
DrinksWorks director William Stockley adds: “Avon Gorge Yard’s atmosphere has been elevated beyond belief, with the entire team’s spirits now lifted on every entry to its industrial space.
“We are lucky to have such inspiring and talented art become part of our home.”
