New face mask for Banksy mural

Banksy’s Girl With a Pierced Eardrum is taking precautions against the coronavirus pandemic.

The mural has been given a new face mask only a few days after Banksy unveiled a new ‘working from home’ artwork.

The piece on Spike Island is a parody of Johannes Vermeer’s famous Girl with a Pearl Earring, replacing the girl’s earring with an outdoor security alarm.

Black paint was splattered onto the graffiti artist’s latest piece in his hometown only 24 hours after its appearance in October 2014.
