Art: Grayson Perry exhibition for Arnolfini

Steve Wright, July 14, 2017

Arnolfini has announced that it is to host a major exhibition by Grayson Perry, one of the world’s most charismatic artists and astute commentators on contemporary society, this autumn.

The arts centre’s autumn season will feature The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever! initiated and organised by the Serpentine Galleries, with Arnolfini’s spaces transformed through a series of related events inspired by Perry’s irreverent take on contemporary culture.

The works in the exhibition examine popularity and art, masculinity, class, politics, sex and religion, as well as contemporary issues such as Brexit and ‘Divided Britain’.

The Most Popular Art Exhibition Ever! will run at Arnolfini from September 27-December 24.

More details of the exhibition, and of Arnolfini’s autumn season more generally, will be announced soon. For updates, keep an eye on www.arnolfini.org.uk/blog and www.arnolfini.org.uk/whatson
