A new Peace Dove for Bishopston

By Steve Wright  Thursday Nov 1, 2018

To mark the first anniversary of the opening of its Business Centre, Bishopston’s St Bonaventure’s Parish has invited Bristol street artist Jody to create a piece on their walls.

Jody, who headlined this year’s Upfest, belongs to the same generation of seminal Bristol street artists as the likes of Paris, Xenz, Cheo, Inkie and Banksy. His Bishopston Peace Dove is a floral interpretation of Picasso’s Peace Dove as a mark of bringing God’s peace and contemporary Christianity to the local Bishopston community.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

The church welcomes everyone to come and take a look at the new piece (it can be found via the car park entrance) and to pop inside the church building itself, which has served the people of Bishopston for over 100 years.

Parish priest Father Tom says, “We are so excited to have Jody come and liven up our walls with his amazing art work. As one of Bristol’s foremost street artists, Jody’s work brings St Bon’s into the world of Bristol’s renowned street art culture.”
