Backwell Festival announces lineup

By Alison Maney  Wednesday Apr 20, 2016

Backwell Festival have officially announced their music lineup for their main festival, which will be held over the weekend of July 2 and 3. The festival’s headliners, however, still remain a mystery.

Backwell Festival celebrates music from around the world, with acts coming from Japan, the Middle East, West Africa and other far-away countries. Festival organisers are particularly excited about Ezza, a group which performs “sensual desert blues”.

Bristol’s very own Ambling Band will also feature, with the Crofters Rights on Stokes Croft host the festival’s launch party on Saturday with a special performance by reggae artist Troy Ellis and his Hail Jamaica band.
