Princess Royal visits Triodos Bank HQ in Bristol

By Charlie Watts  Friday Jul 16, 2021

Princess Anne has visited the Triodos Bank HQ in Bristol to celebrate the bank’s 25th anniversary in the UK.

During her tour of the building on Deanery Road, she met with staff from different parts of the business.

She heard about the importance of fraud prevention as well as the bank’s focus on transparency and its support of innovative projects and charities.

Bevis Watts, CEO of Triodos Bank UK, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome the Princess Royal and have the opportunity to share how we have been advocating for a sustainable approach to finance for over 25 years in the UK.

“2021 is a key year for climate action and the momentum is building around banks and financial services in particular, ahead of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).

“Values-based banking has never felt more relevant, so it’s a significant time to be recognised with this royal visit.”

As well as offering sustainable banking services, Triodos lends money to social, cultural and environmental projects.
