Online hub and webinars for Bristol city centre businesses

By Ellie Pipe  Tuesday Apr 14, 2020

A series of webinars and an online hub have been launched to help businesses grapple with the challenges posed by the coronavirus outbreak.

Bristol City Centre business improvement district (BID) is aiming to cover everything from retail, rent and landlord issues through to insurance and risk management in the free sessions.

The organisation’s Covid-19 hub is already providing firms with up-to-date, practical advice, with details on new grants, loans and support packages, business rates and applying for an extension in filing company accounts, as well as localised updates.

EatDrink24/7 Launch Party is back on July 8 2026!
Exclusive collabs from Bristol’s favourite food vendors, available for one night only. Be first to grab your free copy of the EatDrink24/7 guide – plus every ticket comes with a free limited-edition beer can.

The BID team say the resource is designed to help company bosses cut through the deluge of information currently out there.

Keith Rundle, operations director at Bristol City Centre BID says: “It’s impossible to overstate the impact this crisis is having on significant elements of Bristol city centre’s business community. The organisations we represent are contending with unexpected challenges and, for many, disastrous consequences.

“Having up to date advice and support which, like everything, is changing rapidly can be critical for survival and the effective use of business owners’ time. So, we have created one single hub for reliable, accurate and timely official information.

“Sharing advice through accessible technology is also a great support so we’re very grateful for the time and efforts of some leading experts in order to offer a series of webinars to help businesses navigate a way through the current challenges.”

The webinar sessions are free but spaces are limited, so people are urged to register on the BID website.
