American expansion for Emerson Green-based tech firm

By Milan Perera  Tuesday Jul 30, 2024

Exacta Technologies is about to achieve a new milestone in a two-decade-plus journey in tech.

The high-performance server technology firm, which built up its brand in Chew Valley before moving into a purpose-built facility in Emerson Green in March 2020, is now preparing to break into the American market.

They have secured a major boost from NatWest to make the move, comprising £1.5m in working capital and growth financing, as well as £300,000 for refinancing.

Nick Rogers, chief executive of Exacta Technologies, said: “We’ve built our business on strong, enduring partnerships, and this investment from NatWest is a testament to the relationship we have built together and the confidence they have in our vision and capabilities.

“The funding will allow us to explore new markets and continue our growth trajectory, ensuring we can attract new customers in the USA and provide them with a world class service.”

“The funding will allow us to explore new markets and continue our growth trajectory,” said Exacta Technologies’ chief executive

Founded in 2001, Exacta specialises in bespoke technological solutions that provide sector-leading reliability and high-performance capability for its global clientele.

With this planned leap into a new market, Exacta is hoping to create new job opportunities in Bristol and will hire around 20 new employees in the next twelve months.

Louis Spencer, relationship director at NatWest, said: “Exacta Technologies has demonstrated remarkable growth and innovation over the years and is a fantastic example of the depth and breadth of our Technology Eco-system here in the West of England.

“It’s been a pleasure to work with the management team at Exacta and we are proud to help facilitate this latest expansion into US markets and back their commitment to growth in employment, sales and export activity for the region. They are exactly the type of high growth business we are keen to support.”
