What’s the one thing that inspires you to get up in the morning?
At Caring in Bristol, we’re driven by the belief that Bristol deserves better. Every day of the year, we work creatively and collaboratively with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, with the public, and with community partners to create lasting change in our city and beyond.
We know that homelessness is not inevitable, and that conviction fuels us. What gets us up each morning is the commitment to work tirelessly until everyone in Bristol has the right to a safe, secure home.

If you could pick one thing to change about Bristol what would it be?
Right now, too many people in Bristol are living without security, safety, or comfort. More than 4,000 households are in temporary accommodation, and around 20,000 people remain on the social housing waitlist. This isn’t acceptable, and it must change. We’re determined to play our part in making sure everyone in Bristol has the stable home they deserve.
What does a Better Bristol mean to you?
A Better Bristol is a city where we work together to make homelessness and inequality things of the past. It’s a place where everyone feels supported, included, and valued. Our work is only possible because of the strength of our community, and we believe that real, lasting change happens when we stand together.
What action could you as an individual take? What action could your company take?
There are so many ways we can all work together to make a meaningful difference. Our supporters make our work possible, whether through donating, volunteering or fundraising.
Every contribution, no matter the size, and every minute of time offered is vital in helping people in our city who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Both individuals and companies have the power to create real change by getting involved and standing with us and we can’t thank them enough for that.

What do you want to see from the Bristol business community in the next five years?
Bristol has an incredible network built on creativity, collaboration and a genuine sense of togetherness. We’re already seeing how partnerships across the city can drive positive change, and we want that spirit to keep growing.
Over the next five years, we hope to see even more businesses stepping forward and working collectively to tackle inequality, champion social responsibility. We’re proud to be part of this community and excited about what we can achieve together.
