Lost & Grounded Brewers announce collaboration Iced Coffee Beer with Caravan Coffee Roasters

By Miles Arnold  Wednesday May 1, 2024

Lost and Grounded Brewers and Caravan Coffee Roasters have joined forces to craft a summer beverage that merges the worlds of beer and coffee: the Iced Coffee Pale Ale.

This collaboration, announced on April 30, brings together the expertise of two renowned names in their respective fields. Inspired by the rising popularity of coffee infused beers, the iced coffee pale ale promises to deliver a unique flavour experience.

Lost and Grounded Brewers, established in July 2016, is known for its fascination with German precision brewing and Belgian beer idiosyncrasies. Caravan Coffee Roasters, originating in 2010, has built a reputation for excellence in sourcing and roasting the finest coffees globally, showcasing a commitment to quality and sustainability in every cup.

Annie Clements, co-founder and creative lead at Lost and Grounded Brewers, expressed excitement about the partnership, citing the vision of brewing something exceptional for the summer season. Working closely with Caravan’s coffee experts, the collaboration resulted in a product that embodies a perfect blend of refreshing pale ale and rich, nuanced coffee flavours.

Rory Campbell, national account manager at Caravan Coffee Roasters, echoed Clements’ enthusiasm, praising Lost and Grounded Brewers for their exceptional beers. The collaboration combines Caravan’s fruit forward coffee beans with Lost and Grounded’s light pale ale, creating what Campbell describes as the perfect thirst-quencher for the summer.

Waitrose will also be offering the iced coffee pale ale to customers just in time for summer. Jourdan Gabbini, beer and cider buyer at Waitrose, highlighted the trend of iced coffee and pale ale combinations as a “match made in heaven”, anticipating its popularity among consumers.

Brewed with precision and care, the iced coffee pale ale offers a well balanced profile, showcasing the bright tropical hops of a classic pale ale alongside Caravan’s signature smooth coffee roast. Unlike traditional coffee porters, this brew is designed to be a refreshing summertime beverage.

The special edition Iced Coffee Pale Ale will be available from May 13 2024 on draught at Lost and Grounded Brewers taproom and Caravan Kings Cross, Vardo and City. Additionally, 440ml cans will be exclusively stocked in 224 Waitrose stores across the country.
