City of Bristol College students register 95 per cent A Levels pass rate

By Bristol24/7  Thursday Aug 28, 2025

Students at City of Bristol College were celebrating this summer as A Level Results Day brought an impressive 95 per cent pass rate across all A Level subjects, alongside a 100 per cent pass rate in T Levels and Technical qualifications.

The results mark the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, with many students securing the grades they need to move on to university, apprenticeships, and employment.

Among the many success stories was Freya Davies-Mouncher, who will study Politics and German at The University of Manchester.

Among the many success stories was Freya Davies-Mouncher, who will study Politics and German at The University of Manchester

Opening her results, she admitted to feeling a mix of “terror, relief, but exciting,” before reflecting warmly on the support she received from staff. “The teaching quality is great, my teachers were amazing – they were the best thing about college. Having them there to keep me on track with deadlines really helped.”

Another student, Shaista Mahmood, is set to study Mathematics at The University of Bristol after excelling during her time at the college.

She embraced opportunities beyond the classroom, from joining the Student Council to serving as a student governor, and was recognised with the Principal’s Award at the Further Education Graduation Ceremony. “It was a proud moment for me to know that other people had recognised the work I had done while at the college,” she said.

Both students praised the encouragement and opportunities provided at City of Bristol College, while offering advice to future learners to “stay motivated, take every opportunity, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.”

A spokesperson for the College said: “We are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students. These results reflect not only their commitment, but also the dedication of our staff. We look forward to seeing the many exciting paths our learners will take next.”

For those who did not achieve the grades they hoped for, the College has pledged support in exploring their next steps, while also preparing to welcome a new cohort of students in the year ahead.
