Caring in Bristol marks record-breaking year of impact
Caring in Bristol has reported a record-breaking year of impact as demand for homelessness support in the city continued to rise sharply.
In its latest annual report covering April 2025 to March 2026, the charity revealed a 51 per cent increase in people seeking help due to homelessness, while highlighting major growth across its prevention, youth and emergency support services.
Its Early Doors homelessness prevention project provided long-term support to 194 people facing issues such as eviction and debt, while a further 303 people accessed drop-in sessions across Hartcliffe, Southmead and Easton.

The charity also reported a 69 per cent increase in young people receiving one-to-one support through Project Z. Meanwhile, Z House – Bristol’s only youth-specific emergency accommodation – provided 1,460 nights of shelter for 21 young people.
Other initiatives included the Bristol Goods food clubs, which saved 14 tonnes of food from landfill and hosted more than 3,200 visits, and the Caring at Christmas project, which welcomed more than 1,300 visits in a single week.
