An extinct fish, a missing father and breathtaking live electronic sound in a new play by Bucket Club.
Vanessa’s life is science. Fact based, evidence led, no nonsense, no monsters. But when a photograph surfaces showing something in Loch Ness, she must embark on a very personal research project. An extinct fish, a missing father and breath-taking live electronic sound in a new play with songs about how we connect to the past and how our lives are shaped by the no-longer living things we carry with us.
Bucket Club are an associate company at Farnham Maltings. Past shows include the multi-award-winning Lorraine & Alan. Fossils comes to The Wardrobe after a run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2016 and a New York transfer to Brits Off Broadway.
“Inventive… with a wonderfully weirdo score.”
New York Times
“A live Sufjan Stevens-like soundscape… it’s a captivating, poignant reflection on love, longing and the importance of mystery in all our lives.”
