“It’s rude to stare. But we all do it, don’t we?
“How does it feel to be stared at, or singled out for one aspect of your appearance?
“Not just occasionally, but every day. How do you deal with a barrage of comments, sometimes kindly, sometimes cruelly meant?”
O&O Ensemble present this physical theatre show about the relationship between our identity and our appearance, focusing on the personal stories of people with unusual facial features such as birthmarks and scars.
“This work-in-progress show will entertain, provoke and inspire through the blending of movement, visual art and an original score to produce a theatre experience that is humourous, evocative, and full of fervour.”
Core members Marina O’Shea and Tessa (O’)Gaukroger are best known for their work as O&O Comedy Duo.
They return to the Bristol Improv Theatre after a sell-out performance of 2016’s The Good Stuff, which also won the Spirit of the Fringe Award at Bedfringe 2016.
