Four years after their incredible sold out show at The Fleece, Shellac are back! Formed in 1992, the post-hardcore/noise trio that is Steve Albini, Todd Trainer and Bob Weston have forged an uncompromising 25 year legacy and distinctive, minimalist sound based on asymmetric time signatures, repetitive rhythms, an angular guitar sound and surreal, bitingly sarcastic lyrics. They have released five studio albums – most recently 2014’s Dude Incredible – and have become a regular at events including Primavera Sound and formerly of the now defunct All Tomorrow’s Parties. A truly excellent live band and one of our favourites to have ever played the venue, we cannot wait to see them back here this November.
