Martha Tilston returns to Bristol to celebrate the launch of her new album this spring. Join us for this special performance in the beautiful surroundings of Trinity’s Fyffe Hall. Martha Tilston brings a sparky union of folk, acoustic, trip-hop and electronica, along with one of the most soothing and versatile voices you’re likely to hear. Martha and band have played on some of the world’s most prestigious stages and festivals, from the acoustic stage at Glastonbury to touring the far reaches of the globe. She has also earned a nomination for Best Newcomer at the BBC Folk Awards while releasing six albums and featuring on the Zero 7 album Yeah Ghost.

Tilston began her musical tenure in folk duo Mouse (alongside Nick Marshall) and built up a dedicated word of mouth audience playing the London underground music scene, often sharing stages with the likes of Kate Tempest, Damien Rice amongst others. She has recorded and released several critically acclaimed albums, gained a nomination for BBC Best Newcomer, appeared as a guest vocalist for Zero 7, toured internationally and played with the some of the world’s most inspiring musicians. In 2014 her highly acclaimed folk album The Sea was named by BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews as her Album of the Year.
