Yet another dystopian science fiction young adult novel adaptation for those who simply can’t get enough of The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner, Divergent, etc., etc.
This one’s set in a future America where the teens who haven’t been bumped off by a plague are blessed with superpowers and find themselves incarcerated in a government internment camp. To add to the sense of familiarity, Amandla Stenberg (from The Hunger Games) plays the 16-year-old protgonist, who leads an escape. At least the ever-excellent Gwendoline Christie is cast as some kind of future childcatcher.
