The Blumhouse branding is all over what’s billed as a standalone sequel to, rather than a remake of, the 1996 high school goth coven horror.
That said, the plot seems pretty much the same as before, with only the fashions and music tweaked for a new generation: a quartet of teens (Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna) decide to form their own coven of witches. Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny are on board as the adults.
