Suffer, Little Children

Director
Alan Briggs
Certificate
18
Running Time
74 mins

During the Daily Mail-inspired ‘video nasty’ moral panic of the 1980s (ask yer parents), this cheap and rather amateurish no-budget flick somehow managed to sneak its way onto the List of Evil and was refused a certificate in its uncut form. As so often with these things, the film has now been passed uncut with no apparent fuss. Made at a drama school for children (!), it’s the tale of a mute girl arriving at a London orphanage and slowly transforming it into a demented satanic death cult.
