Animated kiddie horror comedy Hotel Transylvania 2 was rather mediocre but still took a shitload of loot at the global box office, so it’s hardly surprising that we’re being treated to a threequel.
This time, bizarrely enough, there’s no actual hotel, as writer/director Genndy Tartakovsky sends his cast on a cruise ship holiday. (Try not to think of the desperate Holiday on the Buses or the Are You Being Served? movie at this point.) Here, Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) falls for ship’s captain Ericka (Kathryn Hahn), little suspecting that she’s the great-granddaughter of Abraham Van Helsing, who has vowed to continue the family monster-slaying trade.
